About the artist

Lavtelierz is a small Belgian studio built around a simple practice: painting as a way of slowing down. The work moves between abstraction and figuration, often starting from a memory of light, a gesture, or a colour that refuses to leave.

Each piece is painted by hand using oil or acrylic on canvas and linen. The process is intuitive — layers are added, scraped back, and rebuilt until the surface feels honest.
